entropium

[Gr. entrope =a turning toward: en in, and trope =a turn round or about; trepo =to turn.] Med.: Introversion of the eyelid. entropium-forceps, s. a turning [TRICHIA.] Surg.: Forceps for grasping the eyelid and returning it to its natural position when the eyelashes have become turned inwardly. ěn'-trō-pỹ, s . [ENTROPIUM.] That property of a body or system expre ed as a mathematical quantity which, when there is no communication of heat, remains constant, but which, when heat is gained or lost, varies accordingly. ěn-trůst, v. t.
