(mirf -is-in) [pvpinrj, the tamarisk]. A constituent of wax (Cera flava), insoluble in boiling alcohol. It consists chiefly of myricyl palmitate, C30H61. C1GH3102, which is a compound of palmitic acid and myricyl alcohol. 428
