Omnibus (horse). Omnibus, “general service,” suitable in all cases (figurative use)—Train omnibus. Train which stops at all stations—Affat omnibus. A name given to an overbank siege carriage which takes guns of several calibres—Omnibus de famille. Railway station omnibus. [p.401]
