Chart

a hydrographical or marine map, that is, a projection of some part of the earth’s surface given in every particular. The term chart is applied to a marine map, map A is applied to a draught m of some portion of land. plane chart is one which the meridians are supposed parallel to each other and the parallels of latitude at equal distances, and of course degrees of latitude and longitude everywhere equal.
