n. Ve3j-e2t-a's hu'n. Lat., vegetatio (from vegetare, to quicken). Fr., vegetation. Ger., V., Wachsthum (3d def.). 1. The vital proce es (absorption, circulation, exhalation, a imilation, etc.) on which the life and growth of a plant depend. 2. Plants in general, [o, 35.] 3. A growth or deposit upon some portion of the body of a substance or ti ue foreign to that part; especially a condyloma a cum in a tum. [D.] Adenoid v's of the naso-pharynx. Vs resulting from exce ive growth (due to chronic inflammation) of the adenoid or cytogenpus ti ue contained in the stroma of the mucous membrane lining the nasopharyngeal cavity. These v's are comb-like, tongue-shaped, or and are mostly found on the superior pharyngeal wall, flobular,ut often extend forward into the posterior nares. [F.] Dermal v.
