Antimony

—A metal, hard, brittle, resembling tin in its fracture, and of a color more resembling tin than lead. Its specific gravity is 6.6 and its melting point 842° F. (Authorities differ widely on this point.) Itis used asa hardening ingredient in lead and cin alloys, such as babbitt and various other anti-friction metals.
