Custozza

(küs-tod'zah,) a locality near Mantua, N. Italy. Here Charles-Albert, king of Sardinia, was defeated by the Austrians under Marshal Radetzky, July -23, 1848; and, again, the Italians under Gen. La Marm or a were defeated by the Austrians, June 24, 1866. [s. 255]
