Pseudo-bacillus

In biology, one of the very fine fat crystals, which, according to Celli and Guamieri, are sometimes found in sputum, and which react to the staining almost as tubercle-bacilli, but which may be distinguished by their varying size and their solubility in ether and chloroform. Pceudo-bacterium (su-do-bak-te/-re-um). In biology, any object mistaken for a bacterium, as a pseudo bacillus.
