Dewberry

An American species of blackberry, with prostrate stems, abundant in dry, stony fields from Canada to Virginia. Its fruit is of large size and delicious taste, being much supe¬ rior to the high blackberry. There is a British fruit of the same name, but not nearly so pal a¬ table.
