Having for several years practised medicine at Abington, Pa., he removed to Philadelphia, where, in 1834, he was appointed profe or of obstetrics in the University of Pennsylvania. He published Medical E ays; The System of Midwifery; The Physical and Medical Treatment of Children; Practice of Medicine, . Some of his works have been translated into German and French, and are still highly esteemed. D. in Philadelphia, 1841.
