Ph.], cinnamomi cortex [Br. Ph., Gr. Ph.], Cinnamomum (cortex) [Belg. Ph.], cortex cinnamomi zeylanici [Ger. Ph., 1st ed., Swi Ph.], cortex cinnamomi ceylanici [Dan. Ph., Norw. Ph.], cannelle de Ceylon [Fr. Cod.], canela de Ceildn (6 de Holland a [Sp. Ph.]). It is carminative and astringent, and is thought to be especially useful in uterine haemorrhage.
