A river in the Crimea. On August 16, 1855, the lines of the allied army at this place were attacked by 50,000 Ru ians under Prince Gortschakoff without succe , being repulsed with the lo of 3329 slain, 1658 wounded, and 600 prisoners. The brunt of the attack was borne by two French regiments under Gen. d’Her bill on.
