[From Goslar, in the Harz, where it is found.] Min.: An orthorhombic, white, reddish, bluish, transparent or translucent, brittle mineral, of vitre ous luster and nauseous taste. Hardne , 2-2.5; specific gravity, 19-2.1. Composition; Sulphuric acid, 27.9; oxide of zinc, 28.2; water, 43.9. Called also Gallitzenite (q. v.).
