Among his most admired works are Sir Roger de Coverley going to Church, and his pictures illustrative of the story of " Don Quixote." Leslie, SIR JOHN, a Scottish natural philosopher, B. in Fifes hire, 1766. Among the services he has rendered to science may be mentioned the invention of the Differential Thermometer, and his Experimental Inquiry in to the Nature and Propagation of He at - a work which opened out an era in that branch of science.
