Aurora

(au-rō'rah.) [L.; Gr. Eos.] (Myt.) The godde of the morning, was the wife ofAstræus, and the mother of the winds. She is represented in various ways; often she appears in a flowing veil, which she is in the act of throwing back, opening with her roseate fingers the gates of morning.
