BAY CITY

a city of Michigan, the county seat of Bay co. It is on the Saginaw River and on several important railroads, 13 miles north of Saginaw. The city has important industries including the manufacture of ships and has a large trade in lumber, coal and manufactured materials. It is also the center of an important farming, lumberjng and mining region. It has several banks and a number of important government buildings including the United States Government Building.
