Concrete

(kon'cret.) [From L. concretus, grown together.] (Building.) A mason's term for a mixture of mortar and gravel, frequently employed in laying the foundation of a building. (Log.) A C. TERM expre es the notion derived from the view taken of any object, with reference to, or as in conjunction with, that which furnished the notion; -thus, foolish, or fool. When the notion is expre ed without any such reference, it is an abstraction; - thus, folly. [s. 215]
