Collimator

E ential part of a spectroscope or spectrometer for rendering parallel the rays of the beam of radiation to be examined. It consists of a bra tube of adjustable Collimator. length, having at one end a convex lens and at the other a small adjustable opening, usually a slit. The slit is placed at the principal focus of the lens.
