cap. of Finland, on Guif of Finland (60° 14’ N., 24° 57’ E.); splendid harbor, strongly guarded by fortre of Sveaborg; exports timber, corn, and butter; manufacturers sugar, beer, linen, tobacco, etc.; has a univ. and cathedral, and is seat of government of republic of Finland. During spring of 1918 a good deal of street fighting took place in town between Red and White Guards, the latter triumphing through Ger. aid. See Finuanp. Pop. 1919, 188,922. astical constitutions of Reformed Churches; drawn up in Switzerland; that of 1536 was prepared under influence of Bullinger and Bucer but was largely superseded by the second H.C., written by Bullinger in 1562.
