as-saw it', n. A violent attack with weapons, etc., or with words, arguments, appeals, and the like; invasion; incursion; onset; charge. (Law.) An attempt or offer to beat another, without touching his person: if the blow takes fect, it is battery.— v. t. To attack with, etc.
