(e-de'mah.) [From Gr. oi deo, I swell.] (Med.) A puffine or swelling arising from water having collected in the cellular membranes; it is attended with palene and cold, retains the print of the finger when pre ed with it, and is accompanied with little or no pain. [s. 659]
