Presentation

In financial and commercial usage preference is given to the word presentation over presentment as employed in connection with negotiable instruments, such as bills of exchange (drafts) and promi ory notes. For instance, it is customary in financial and commercial phraseology to say “on presentation” (for acceptance or payment) instead of ‘‘on presentment.” In legal usage preference is given to the word presentment.
