Presentation

(prěz-en-ta's hun.) [From L. præsentatio, a placing before.] (Eccl. Law.) The act of a patron offering his clerk to the bishop, to be instituted in a benefice of his gift. An advowson is the right ofP. A patron may revoke his P. before institution, but not afterwards. [s. 730]
