Galeopsis

(ga-le-op's is.) [Gr. galē, a weasel, and op his, appearance; its grotesque flowers are likened to that animal. ] (Bot.) A gen. of plants, O. Lamiaceæ. The Hemp-nettle, G. tetra hit, is a common weed, in waste and cultivated grounds, in the Northern States. [s. 391]
