Body

Definite portion of matter, either solid, liquid or gaseous. A rigid body is a system of particles so related that though the system may move as a whole with reference to other bodies, its separate parts can have no relative displacement; it may have any motion of translation and of rotation, and, therefore, is said to have six degrees of freedom in its motion.
