Harris burg

(harris-bürg,) in Pennsylvania, a prosperous city, C. of the State and of Dauphin co., on the left bank of the Susquehanna, 107 m. W.by N. of Philadelphia. It is a handsome, well-built place, contains the State Capitol and Lunatic Asylum. H. has extensive manufactories of iron, cotton goods, and railroad cars. Pop. 33,104. [s. 440]
