Evangelist

a writer of the history or doctrines, precepts, actions, life, and death of Christ; in particular, the “four evangelists,” Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Tho term is also applied to preachers of Christian doctrine, who go about seeking to cons vert sinners, and bring them to re pentance, and to peace with God.
