PHOSPHORESCENCE

n. Fo2s-fo2r-e2s'eans. Lat., phosphorescentM (from phosphorus [q.v.]). Ger., Phosphorescenz. A mild luminosity (like that of phosphorus in the dark) without apparent heat.
