Squinting; a defect of vision in which the visual axes do not meet at the desired objective point. Strabismus deorsum vergens (L). Downward squint, in which the visual axis of the squinting eye pa es lower than the fixation-point. Strabismus sursum vergens (L). Upward squint, in which the visual axis of the squinting eye pa es higher than the fixation-point.
