(rej'is-tur.) [From L. re, back, and gero, gestum, to carry.] (Diplomatics.) An official account of the proceedings of a public body; or a book in which are entered and recorded memoirs, acts, and minutes, for the purpose of preserving the same, or rendering them easily acce ible for reference.-(Com.) A document i uing from the custom-house, giving a description of a ship, with all particulars as to her tonnage, nationality, ownership, .: - it is always.required to be carried by the ship on foreign voyages, as a proof of her true nationality. Ve els employed in the coasting trade are simply enrolled, not registered.-(Print.) Such an accurate arrangement of the lines and pages that those printed on one side of the sheet shall fall exactly on those on the other.- (Type-founding.)
