Medium

(me'-de-um). That in which anything moves or through which it acts. In medicine, the sum of conditions by which a patient is surrounded, especially those of light, temperature, and ventilation. Also, a person subject to hypnotizing influence. M., Culture. See Media , Xutrit-nt. M. of the Eye, the refracting structures from the anterior surface of the cornea to the retina.
