Leyden Jar

—A simple form of condenser consisting of a gla jar coated inside and out to a certain height with tinfoil, having a bra rod terminating in a knob pa ed through a wooden stopper, and connected to the inner coat by a loose chain. It receives its name from Leyden, the city in which it was invented.
