Galatia

(gah-la's hah,) a former region of Asia Minor, surrounded by the Euxine, Phrygia, Bithynia, and Cappadocia. It was first colonized by the Gauls (whence the derivation of its name), and was one of the theatres of St. Paul's labors in Christian i zing the heathen, as seen in his Epistle to the Galatians.
