[Of Indian derivation.] Coarse Indian corn meal. Hom'mock, n. (Sometimes written hummock.) [Etymol. unknown.) A conical mound or hillock, often crowned with trees. Homo-. [Gr. homos , one and the same.] A Greek prefix used in composition to denote resemblance , and thus opposed to hetero, which indicates difference.
