An annual sum of money paid by the tenants or occupiers to the owner or proprietor of lands or tenements: a compensation or return, in the nature of an acknowledgment, for the po e ion of a corporeal inheritance.-A fee-farm R. is c. rent-charge i uing out of an estate in fee, of at least one-fourth of the value of the lands at the time of its reservation.
