WALTZ

(Germ, waltzer.) The name of the German national dance, and also of the species of music by which it is accompanied. Bohemia is said to be the original liomeof the waltz, whence it soon spread into other parts of Germany, and all over the Continent, and within the last few years it has become naturalised in England.
