SIR EDWIN, (land's eer,) an eminent English animal painter, B. in London, 1803. Among his chief productions are the famous Bolton Abbey in the Olden 1 Time; The Return from Deer-Stalking; and the Stagat Bay, a picture painted for the Marquis of Breadalbane for the sum of $25,000. D. 1873. [s. 526]
