Any receptacle containing a liquid, fluid or molten metal, into which articles arc dipped in manufacturing proce es, to clean their surfaces, or to cover them with a coating of the fluid body; as, in tinning. 2. In electroplating, a ve el containing an acid solution of some metal, in which articles are immersed for the purpose of covering them with the coat of the metal in solution, by electro deposition. 3. A bath fitted with connections and electrodes for treating patients with electricity; an electro-therapeutic bath.
