Ferguson, Patrick

died in 1780. He was a British soldier who came to America in 1777, fought at Brandy wine, was active along the Hudson in 1779, and was promoted major for services at the siege of Charleston. He enlisted many loyalists in South Carolina, but was defeated at the battle of King’s Mountain.
