Declaration of Independence

This celebrated document by which the thirteen United Colonies of America announced their intention of taking their affairs into their own hands, renouncing their allegiance to Great Britain, and a erting their freedom, was drawn up by Thomas Jefferson, and received the unanimous approval of the delegates in the Congre of the Colonies, July 4, 1776.
