Pj. a partial peduncle is a subdivision of a common peduncle, supporting a few flowers. The genuine notion of a pedicel is, that it supports one flower only where there are several ona peduncle; or, it is the ultimate subdivision of a common peduncle, immediately connected with the flower itself.
