(manj.) [From Fr. de manger, the itch.] (Far.) An eruptive disease which breaks out in dogs, horses, . It is said to be almost identical with what is known as the itch in man, and, like that disease, is occasioned by a minute species of aca rus which hides beneath the skin. [s. 574]
