Lycopodium

(li-ko-po’de-um) (Gr. λύκος wolf + wots foot]. A genus of club-mo es. The yellow, inflammable sporules of L. clava’tum form a light, dry powder, used as a dusting and absorbent powder, and as a coating for pills. It is much used in homeopathy as a remedy. Several species are actively poisonous.
