CHERVIL

a highly esteemed garden herb grown in all temperate climates and very popular in the South. It is similar to parsley, the Curled being even handsomer. Chervil Bilbur, or Turnip-Rooted Chervil, is a French variety grown for its roots, which resemble the Parsnip in shape and color. It is a very desirable vegetable, the flesh being sweet and delicate in flavor and almost floury in texture. [s. 135]
