(kid’ni), n. [ nei, kidenei, a corruption of kidneer, kidnere, kidenere, kideneire, kidney-cotton seeded cotton, whose seeds cohere in kidney shaped ma es of eight or ten. It is referred to the Go ypium religiosum of Linnzeus (G. Peruvianum), which is the tallest of the cotton-shrubs.
