or CocCYGIS BONE, (kok's iks.) [Gr. kokkyx, the cuckoo.) (Anat.) The lowest portion of the vertebral column, which in man consists of 4 small bones soldered together. They form the rudiments of a tail, and the upper end joins the sacrum. [s. 201]
