PSOAS

(Lat.), n. m. So(pso2)'a2s(a3s). An erroneous form, really a genitive, introduced by Riolan to represent the Gr. i^oa. the loin or loin-region or (Galen) a muscle of the loins; the plural form psoce is in use (correctly) for the p. muscles.
