Hoffman's A. is a colorle liquid consisting of ether, alcohol, and ethereal oil; it is used in nervous irritation, angina pectoris, and asthma. A. colloid is an unofficial remedy used for painting over the course of nerves in neuralgia, sciatica, etc.
