Bilge-suction

The arrangement consisting of pipes etc. in connection with a bilge-, or a circulating-pump by means of which water accumulated in a ve el is raised. The water so raised through the „ Bilge-injection pipe ” is employed as injection-water for the condenser and that through the Bilge-pump-suction-pipe ” discharged over board. See Plate 54.18 .
