A moderately consistent mixture of oatmeal and water boiled, and generally eaten with cold milk, called Porridge in Scotland. When mixpd with the thin liquor of boiled meat, or the water in which cabbage or kale has been boiled, it is called bccfbrose, or kale hrose. ( Peheir a on Diet. ) [s. 1423]
